Quinquennial Surveys

CSN can produce bespoke Quinquennial Surveys and Reports in relation to Church buildings, Chapels and other places of worship to ascertain the necessary maintenance works to individual properties. These reports can be tailored to the exact requirements of the Diocese or Managing Trustees.

The Quinquennial Survey involves a comprehensive inspection, the preparation of a condition report and recommendations for maintenance and repair together with budgets costs on a 5 year rolling programme.

This can also incorporate the preparation of measured drawings, Planned Maintenance Programmes or Development Plans if required.

The Survey Report

The survey report accurately identifies problems, draws realistic conclusions and makes practical recommendations without overstating the extent or urgency of repair works required.

Recommendations for works are given on a priority scale to highlight prioritisation of works whilst other considerations are given for grouping works which could be undertaken concurrently to reduce cost. Our budget costs also allow the Managing Trustees to formulate a cost plan and cash flow analysis for any future repairs.

Essential Asset Management Considerations are also given which may constitute a safety hazard, significant risk to the building fabric or its contents together with disability access improvements.
