Phased Planned Maintenance inspections as part of Condition Survey of University Stock highlighted defects in a Grade II listed property. A Schedule of works was compiled, tendered and tender analysis reported to client.  Work was carried out in stages to a program driven by priority of repair and minimum inconvenience to end users.

Career History

Steve is an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor with over 30 years in the construction industry. Steve has a broad range of expertise in a variety of building types and a diverse knowledge of construction. He provides professional building surveying advice to a national portfolio of Clients.
Commencing in the industry with a regional building contractor Steve received a good grounding in construction spending time with a variety of trades before working with the architect and surveyors department of the Metropolitan Police.
Since qualifying as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1989, Steve has developed expertise in all aspects of Building Surveying with a particular interest in historical buildings. He is experienced in all types of commercial construction & development and has acted as client relationship manager to a number of public, commercial and education sector clients. Over the past decade he has developed particular expertise in Party wall matters and often acts as an expert in disputes between neighbours. He is often called upon to act as expert witness in construction disputes with particular strength in relation to quality and workmanship matters.
He is a partner in CSN Consulting LLP, the UKBS Plc Associate Practice in the North East of England.

Since 1988 Steve has been responsible for providing a full range of Project Management and Building surveying services to large organisations including The Royal Mail, British Telecom, Health Care Trusts, Government Departments, Local Authorities, Schools, Universities and Colleges.
